Our Parish is under the spiritual and ecclesiastical jurisdiction of His Eminence Metropolitan +ISAIAH of Denver. The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Denver is part of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, which is an Eparchy of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
We are pan-Orthodox in membership, consisting of people of Greek, Russian, Serbian, Hispanic, Armenian as well as American backgrounds. A number of our members have converted to Orthodoxy from other Christian denominations.
Our services are primarily in English, with occasional use of Greek, and other languages as well. While we attempt to honor the customs of all our members, our liturgical practices are governed by the Typikon of the Great Church of Christ as specified in the annual Imerologion of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.
While our parish is small, we are very dedicated to the practice of our historic faith. We warmly welcome all who enter our doors, whether Orthodox or not.

Our Goals
Our primary goal in Lubbock is to serve, to the Glory of God, those having chosen the ancient and historical faith of Orthodoxy as their own, paying special attention to those who are temporarily in Lubbock, whether studying at Texas Tech or one of our other local colleges, or working in local businesses. We recognize an obligation to be of practical assistance to our local community and its needs while serving without modification to or variance from our traditional faith. We hold to the dogmatic truths of Christ's original Church and do believe that there is a difference in theological truths as proclaimed by the many denominations existing today. We make no apologies to those belonging to other confessions, but rather proclaim the one, true, comprehensive Faith of the Holy Fathers, established by the Apostles upon the unshakable teachings given to them by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
We celebrate the Historic and Divine Liturgy each Sunday beginning at 10:00 a.m. This Service is preceded by Orthros/Matins, the Church's public morning prayer, which begins at 9:00 a.m. Weekday services are also celebrated, periodically. . Those who visit will find that an Orthodox Priest wears numerous beautiful traditional vestments when celebrating the services. They will also find candles being used regularly and incense used liberally in most all the services. Our Church is decorated with Icons of the Saints, of the Virgin Mary, and of Christ, Our Lord and Savior. These all find their place within the long and rich heritage of the historic, eternal, ancient Christian Church.
